The purpose of the fund is to provide college, university and vocational and technical school scholarships to the children of migrant seasonal farmworkers who reside in Idaho and Malheur, Harney, Grant and Baker counties in Oregon.

The late Lynd Hoover and el Centro de Comunidad y Justicia share the same goal of helping farm workers and their children attend college.
He named Stephanie Dickey, his niece, executor of his will of his will and asked her to be part of the selection process for the scholarship.
This will be the fourth year CCJ awards scholarship. We look forward to growing the scholarship fund alongside the students that we help.

The Lynd Hoover Farmworker Scholarship application will be announced during January and the application DEADLINE is April 15, 2018.
The Committee will make their decision during May; scholarships will be awarded on May 31, 2018.
